Hanumante Child Welfare has been actively engaged in upgrading water supply systems as part of a pool of health-promoting activities in Dolakha. This initiative dwells mostly on the safe and hygienic environment for children, along with the water quality issue. The major activities include:

  • Community Engagement: We are mobilizing local resources and stakeholders for the smooth implementation of water supply projects.
  • School-Based: Creating awareness among school children of hygiene and sanitation while enabling access to clean drinking water in schools.
  • Infrastructure Development: Collaborating with municipalities and organizations to establish reliable water systems to fulfill the needs of children and families.

Impact on Health and Hygiene

Hanumante Child Care interventions are in alignment with a broader goal to improve the general health of Dolakha. The provision of potable drinking water by the project helps curb the incidence of waterborne diseases in children. In addition, the project targets hygiene education so that healthy behaviors are promoted beyond the school environment and into the home.

The impact is visible in the improved health outcomes of school children, with reduced incidence of intestinal infections and diarrheal diseases. This health improvement not only enhances the quality and general well-being of children but also aids their education, as they are often unable to attend school due to sickness.
